In 1944, Dave opened one of the very first “state of the art” body shops in Utah. The facility became a landmark in South Salt Lake for over 40 years. In the mid seventies Dave’s son Dale, armed with a degree in Business, joined the organization. Dale’s vision was to take the business to the next level. He was instrumental in the building of a new facility as well as integrating computer software in to the management of the shop. Dale has stayed on the cutting edge of repair technology for over 30 years.
In the early ’80s, Dale hired a bodyman by the name of Stan Ware. Stan had been trained by the crew of legendary race car driver A.J. Foyt. By the late ’80s Dale recognized Stan’s abilities went far beyond that of a master technician. Stan was promoted to manager in 1987. They have forged an incredible partnership that has allowed Dave’s to remain as the industry leader in a very competitive market.
Stan brought in his wife Karen Ware in 1999 to manage the accounting and human resource side of the business. In 2002, Stan’s oldest son, Alex Ware, joined the staff. Trained in all aspects of the industry, Alex is now a solid part of the management team helping to keep up with a rapidly advancing level of vehicle design and repair techniques. Those same qualities that Dave established almost 70 years ago still remain true to this day.
